Well that escalated quickly.

86 booked for the Faro flight, 197 turned up  eeek:   Similar story on the later flight.  :thumbsup:

What I am seeing is a "dead cat bounce".

The last of the summer holidays sunshine routes are holding up well, as are domestic flights,  but without year round revenue flights to France, Spain, Malta and the other currently quarantined  destinations,  it cannot continue.

Other ground handlers have already started a 2nd round of redundancies,  those remaining on reduced hours. Some back on furlough.

Messy and absolutely unnecessary.

In October we will be dropping down to under 50 flights per day - would normally be in the region of the 130, it was inevitable that more would have to go. Many good friends (and some total wasters) will be going.

Ah yes, just checked. One of only 40 flights that day...

Also, it looks like the South Terminal will not be opeing until probably Easter 2021...
