Architectural Monstrosities
« on: April 03, 2011, 04:25:50 PM »
This week I have to go to a meeting in Birmingham close to "The Cube" . As buildings go, it's "interesting", but it's bloody ugly

It says it was designed by Ken Shuttleworth, I think they got the wrong Shuttleworth

John Shuttleworth - If Nick Clegg was called Nicholas

I clicked on your link and Marco Pierre White appeared. He is haunting me I tells u  scared2:

Weird looking building though. I guess it's all about being 'different' now and creating  publicity .

I go past The Shard a lot , which is in construction ...lots of hype for little substance as far as I can see

See also the Cheese Grater at the Elephant (?)  ::)

Marco Pierre White is a celeb chef on one of my other contracts; fortunately I've not encountered him as yet but if I do I might give way to bad behaviour  evil:
On the other hand, Gary Rhodes (another guest celeb chef) is a harmless little elf.

What is this shite? Shrugs:

Eliza's brother BM.

I saw time clocks too.    Then I saw an electric pepper mill.  shrugs:

And I was taken to the Cube by someone working on it.... but it was an enormous hole in the ground at that point.  I really must look up more when I travel around the town.  ;D
It's better than I ever even knew.  They say that the world was built for two.  Only worth living if somebody is loving you.  Baby now you do.

Rhodes is also a selfish, back-stabbing, self-opinionated little prick with a stupid haircut. End of.

As for appalling buildings come to Wales and visit:
"Y Senedd" AKA The Welsh Assembly building in Cardiff.

And inside it gets even worse. Like living in a bloody mushroom ~ ideal I suppose for the hobbits who work there.

And finally the "Debating Chamber"

All designed by Lord Rogers .... as if you couldn't have guessed! ::)
