Freebies from Conferences.

Yesterday in amongst the information I was given I also was given:  A container of mint sweets, 2 clothes brushes (sticky roller thingys), note pads and pens but also a squaggy desktop pc (miniture obviously).  I was also offered icecream and cake?  My question is, what is the point of them and what sorts of stuff do you get given at these events?

I always thought they were there so that mongs could scamper off with them (generally carrying two or three bags of the shite) without bothering you...

having worked on conferences for a couple of decades, I would say most of my working wardrobe, all of my travel bags, sundry smellies, a couple of laptops, all kinds of dodgy tourist tat, a fair few treatments in hotel health spars, a multitude of hangovers and a bad back !
