Madeline was abducted by person or persons unknown. The parents were negiligent in the first instance and the police incompetent in the initial hours.

There is clearly no evidence that they were involved in her disappearance apart from the obvious neglect.

However, I think what made most of us suspicious was their attitude when initially interviewed – they weren’t quite ‘right’ for some reason – many, many people said it.

No evidence what so ever. Freely admit it. It's just what I believe. I've also had to stop reading/watching it. I threw stuff at the tv the whole thing was making me so cross.

I also believe the police were negligent. Clearly not doing their job. The fact that the parents weren't considered suspects at the very beginning did not smack of a professional investigation. Even if I didn't believe they were involved I would think that. Surely they should have been investigated so they could be properly eliminated.

Has anyone considered that she was abducted by aliens?

Kidnapped is my feeling. Until there is a body found that is.
Parents were of course negligent.

As they well know. As I have said before, I never let The Boy out of my sight (except when at school) . We have a rather nice restaurant (well three actually) close to our house. ONe is 50 yards away. We would NEVER go out to one and leave him alone (asleep or awake). What were they thinking of?

Wouldn't leave ours alone either.
Only cus they'd kill each other. eveilgrin:

Does this extreme brother/sister hatred thing EVER get any better?

The only thing I've found to stop them fighting, is for me to start a rant between me and Mrs GROWLER. Werks EVERY time. happy088

My elder two Boy (39) girl (37) have not spoken for ten years.................. so the answer would seem to be NO!

GROWLER jnr. has stated that he NEVER wants to see his little sister EVER again after he or she has left home.
I find that sad tbh. sad32:

He will change his mind. Fear not!

Mind you, I am 53 and my 60 year old (sacked) sister is off my list!

As a counter balance and because I do not have a sister I have to say that my brother is my best friend.
It was not always that way when we were kids.

We have some friends in Madrid who adopted 2 boys (with a long interval between). The eldest was grubmbling one day about the younger one. His mother said, "But you always said you wanted a brother, so we got one"

He replied, "Yes, but not Paul!!!"

Fair enough. The Paul in question appears to me to be at least three quarters chimpanzee, so I can see the problem. He even has those curved feet eeek:
