Vraiment, Maddy pauvre se situe probablement dans une tombe peu profonde quelque part et tout que vous pouvez parler est poisson !  cussing:

Really, poor Maddy is probably located in a tomb not very deep some share and very that you can speak is fish  ::)

P'raps you mean

Maddy vraiment pauvre a ?t? vid? dans un tombeau, sous la mer, pr?s des poissons

What?  'Really poor Maddy was emptied in a tomb, under the sea, close to fish'  ???

I think you mean... "Wat slechte Maddie heeft gekregen om met de prijs van vissen te doen?"

Bodily fluids - not blood - matching Madeleine McCann's DNA have been found in the car hired by her parents, according to sources.

The McCanns: Enduring a tense waitThe sample was taken from the boot, where the spare tyre is kept.

It had an 88% match with the missing four-year-old's DNA, sources said.

Police searching the car also found so much of Madeleine's hair that it could not have been transferred from a blanket or clothes.

With the latest news from Potugal, I was expecting some sensible reasoned views on this torrid subject.

At the risk of repeating myself:
No child and no body ~ so what's to say?

We have no factual news coming out of Portugal. In fact very little news other than the stories "attributed" to unnamed "police" sources.

The only official statement issued by the police is that they have NO direct DNA evidence relating to Maddy and have now handed their files to the prosecutor for a decision. Under Portuguese law the "Prosecutor" will either tell the Police to arrest and charge someone, to seek further evidence, take more statements etc, send the file "upstairs" to a Judge for his/her opinion or to close the investigation. The Prosecutor has today sent the file to a Judge who has ten days to come to a decision.

No-one other than the Police and the Prosecutor knows what is in the files, the Judge has yet to read them. Anything and everything else is speculation.

The Press and other media are simply muck raking and frankly know nothing more than we do.

We have spent 4 months and 19 pages of debate and achieved absolute nothing of any real value. In fact our only conclusion is that we have no conclusion.

Personally, whilst I am sorry for the child, I have no idea what has happened to her, I cannot explain the actions of her parents  either when the child was "taken" or since (but I can say I would not have behaved the way they did on the night she vanished).

What is left to debate/discuss?

So we moved onto our usual trick of talking drivel, cracking jokes and generally lightening the mood.

Because there is nothing else we can do.

I would offer a sensible, well reasoned reply to that. But as it is on topic I feel it would be ignored.

latest news is that the prosecutor has deemed there to be enough evidence to charge so he has passed the file on to the judge, who will decide within 10 days
