I'm quite concerned about this...

Like fingerprints before it, DNA was touted as a method of ascertaining with absolute certainty, the identity of the owner of the sample.

It seems that is demonstrably not true any more.

Not a big deal for me as I only have one sibling, but it must throw a large slice of doubt on anyone from a large family that has been convicted on DNA records and just circumstantial evidence.

Very worrying, given the government's determination to establish a nationwide database.   I might have siblings that I don't know about...  eeek:    No-one is safe....  scared2:

Very very good point. The difference in DNA between siblings, expecially identical twins FFS is negligible.

How can he have phone access to the PM, how can he have top solicitors and PR people (none of whom seem to want payment) , and how can he have rich benefactors throwing money at him?

Sadly, hundreds of thousands of children go missing worldwide every year.   Their parents don't have these contacts or this media coverage.

Because a little bit of free good PR is worth more than 10 advertising campaigns. As for phone access to the PM, PAYG sims are bugger all these days and there are bound to be spare mobile kicking around government departments.
