I'm quite concerned about this...
Like fingerprints before it, DNA was touted as a method of ascertaining with absolute certainty, the identity of the owner of the sample.
It seems that is demonstrably not true any more.
Not a big deal for me as I only have one sibling, but it must throw a large slice of doubt on anyone from a large family that has been convicted on DNA records and just circumstantial evidence.
Very worrying, given the government's determination to establish a nationwide database. I
might have siblings that I don't know about...
No-one is safe....
