There was a brief report on the radio yesterday that tests proved a body had been in the hire car… didn’t hear any more about it after that.
Bit hard to drive any car with your body on the outside.

Was it a body, the body or just anybody then?

Whatever 'evidence' they have to confirm a dead body was in the car would also yield DNA.

Probably some local taking a bit of roadkill home for supper.

Perhaps to keep alive the longest thread to date? At least the highest number of pages is marginally more interesting than 'quote-a-thons'.
