Mrs NIck, a scouser, asked me why I had moved away. My answer was that I could afford a place here and, in any case. I had looked in LIverpool but that I had never liked the place and would not want to live there. I suspect this did not go down well  noooo:

You are no doubt correct in all points. I have noticed that the natives of Liverpool are astonishingly protective of their city ~ even if they cannot agree among themselves on politics, religion, football (same thing really) or even the recipe for "Scouse".
