One of my neighbours, a keen gardener, has just been round to give me some of his onions (not an euphemism) they are the size of very large Spanish onions. eeek:  Let the cooking commence. cloud9:

I am doing a bit of a root around at the moment for things I can sell  that are just sitting round the house doing nothing. Apparently selling human beings is not allowed  Banghead

I have just dug out my previous mobile phone ...£49 on Mazuma. Lovely jubbly - that's already in the post  lol:

The thing that brightened my Tuesday...
As a nipper about 40 years ago I remember seeing a programme that included a shot of a steam train crossing the Ribbleshead viaduct on the Carlisle to Settle railway. That image was stored somewhere in the back of my mind and ocasionally it would come back and remind me it was "one to tick off the list". On Tuesday I got to see it  cloud9:  cloud9:  cloud9: 

It was well worth the wait, what the picture doesn't show is that two minutes before, there was torrential rain, and that I was stood outside leaning into the car to stop myself from being blown over by the gales that were brought to me courtesy of the tail end of Hurricane Katia

Strangely enough, exactly my thoughts too Snoopy. Maybe next time, and there will be a next time. I'd never ventured up into that part of the world before, but I definitely will be doing so again

They still do steam excursions from Fort William to Mallaig it seems.
