Correction. Growler just called. Poor old bear has finally had enough at home and is living in his caravan. He called from a layby seeking a spare bed for the weekend, but I am away/  He sends his best wishes.

Why a lay-by?
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=5424

From a tenner a night complete with leccy hook-up.

Or is he just being silly?

Agreed DS but he has been talking about leaving home on here and other boards for long enough, this will either make or break the marriage and just about all of us have been down that road.

BTW the camp site I suggested is within 10 minutes of his lay-by. That is why I say he is being silly. Lay-by camping will only add to his problems as the local rozzers will be all over him like a rash.

He knows too where I live, which is less than 40 minutes away, but no doubt, having decided that I cannot possibly be his friend because I told him the truth once too often, his pride will not let him contact me. There are plenty of sites he could camp on for up to 48 weeks a year around this area. Still handy for his work and they all have showers, electric hook-ups etc. He has no need to become a "traveller" unless he wants to.

No doubt he is feeling very sorry for himself at the moment ~ we all did ~ but he has to get a grip and sort it once and for all.

Not that he wants that sort of advice at the moment I don't suppose but it is what he needs.

I bow to your deeper knowledge of the inner bear and his situation.

He is just an amusing and entertaining acquaintance in the VP to me, he has always had 'issues' of course, but many people do.

Were he to return here, he would be treated to the same degree of backslapping and urine extraction as the rest.  ;)
