In Alistair Campbell's Diaries Vol II (1997 to 1999)
Rebekah Wade is mentioned 8 times, mostly in connection with meetings/lunches/dinners etc with Blair
Rupert Murdoch 30 times, mostly in connection with meetings/lunches/dinners etc with Blair

All this furious activity by Blair was to try to get the News Corps media to support NuLabour and then, having succeeded, to keep them "on-side".

Young Millipede would do well to remember, when he is busy trying to take a high moral stance on all this, that he was working as an advisor to G Brown at the time.

It is to their shame that many politicians haven't done the honourable thing recently...  noooo:

Unfortunately honor, like backbone and integrity, is something that most of our elected representatives are in short supply of.

Is that in the same way that David Kelley's death wasn't being treated as suspicious?  rubschin:

This inquiry isn't going to change a damn thing, neither will the police investigation. Certainly people will be thrown to the wolves or fall on their swords but the rot has set too deeply within the establishment and too many have a vested interest in keeping it going.

Heard him last night.  The windbag has not changed his spots.

In an odd twist to the ongoing phone hacking saga, police are reportedly examining the contents of a bag said to belong to Charlie Brooks, the husband of former News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks.

The bag, containing a computer, paperwork and phone, was allegedly found in a bin in an underground car park near the Brooks' Chelsea Harbour home on Monday afternoon, according to a Guardian report

This could run and run couldn't it - I'm not sure even Camerloon can survive...

Thank goodness there are no other issues with the economy or anything at the moment eh....  ;)
