We've all heard the adverts and are invited to go online and see for ourselves.
Well I've been online every day for the past 5 weeks awaiting stock of an electrical item that is ?50 cheaper at Tesco than anywhere else. I've got e-mail alerts set up and can confirm that they've had none in stock since at least 17th June.
Since that time they have reduced the price by a further ?5. Why? You could make it 'free' and never have any in stock. Also, I thought there was a law concerning labelling something as sale, something to do with it being available at the higher price within a certain time.
Also, they've now added the price comparison on the site and added:
* All prices checked on retailers' websites on 2007-07-23. Prices based on single, on-line purchase of the same or closest equivalent product, excluding delivery. In-store and promotional prices may vary
Why have they checked the price of something they haven't stocked?
